Southern California Edison offers bill forgiveness for Santa Barbara fire victims

It may be only a small comfort, but some Santa Barbara residents who lost homes in the Jesusita fire may catch a break on their utility bills.

Southern California Edison customers whose houses were destroyed or are now unlivable will not have to pay for electricity used at those residences since the last bill received.

The utility says it also is offering special payment arrangements to people indirectly affected by the fire.
