Wednesday Morning: I’m no traffic engineer, but it doesn’t make obvious sense to me that building more condos on the Westside will alleviate the ridiculous traffic problem on the Westside. But that seems to be part of the logic behind approval for construction of 119 new lofts near Marina Del Rey. Price alert: They’re on the cheap side for that part of town, in the $500,000 range. How can we miss him if he won’t go away? One more chance to see the master, David Lereah, spin the numbers in this brief item about a sharp drop in pending home sales in March. Lastly, down in Orange County, the home building industry is picking a fight with OC Register real estate blogger Jon Lansner, claiming he’s talking to the wrong people (that would be, people who think housing is overpriced). Seems to me that Lansner talks to just about everybody. Isn’t there an old expression that says don’t pick a fight with someone who buys ink by the barrel? Of course, bloggers don’t need ink, just links.
