The Associated Press is reporting:

An alleged leader of a Mexican crime ring wanted on gang, drugs and weapons charges has been taken into custody, the FBI said Wednesday. Jose Manuel Garibay Felix was arrested Friday at a California Department of Motor Vehicles office in Riverside, FBI Special Agent in Charge Keith Slotter said. The 24-year-old is accused of leading ‘Los Garibay,’ a criminal organization suspected of trafficking drugs and committing kidnaps and murder in Mexico, according to an arrest warrant filed in U.S. District Court.A Mexican criminal complaint alleges that he directed the abduction and murder of a police officer in retaliation for his investigation of the Garibay organization.The suspect is being held in a Los Angeles detention center while awaiting extradition to Mexico.
