Woman’s body found in Redlands orange grove

The body of a 23-year-old woman was found in a Redlands orange grove Tuesday night in what police suspect was a homicide.

A resident discovered the body about 6:30 p.m. in a grove off Almond Avenue, west of Alabama Street, according to Redlands Police Department spokesman Carl Baker.

The area, near the junction of the 10 and the 210 freeways, is near popular shopping center.

No details about the circumstances of the death were released by police Wednesday afternoon. Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact Det. Frank Rocha at (909) 798-7580.
