A 59-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after walking into the Imperial Beach substation of the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department and announcing that he had just killed his wife, officials said.

Marvin Dennis Duncan was ‘carrying two toddlers’ when he made the admission Wednesday, officials said.

Deputies found Duncan’s wife, Rocio Duncan, 36, on the ground in the substation parking lot, bleeding from apparent stab wounds. She died minutes later.

Marvin Duncan was booked into county jail. The two children were taken into protective custody. Authorities believe the stabbing occurred in the parking lot.
