A fight that began inside the nightclub near 11th and Hill streets ‘continued outside’ and ‘escalated to a stabbing’ around 2:20 a.m., said officer Christopher No of the Los Angeles Police Department.

Four people were stabbed and sustained non-life threatening injuries, KTLA News reported. Two people were hospitalized.

Club-goers tried to stop the fight, and a man allegedly began stabbing them. He was arrested by police officers who saw the fight and ran after him.

The man’s cousin, who was involved in the original fight, also was arrested, according to the police.

The reason for the initial fight was unknown, No said.
