Porn star Ron Jeremy undergoing surgery for aneurysm, manager says

Longtime adult movie actor Ron Jeremy suffered an aneurysm and has been hospitalized in critical condition, his longtime manager and friend said Wednesday.

Mike Esterman said that Jeremy was undergoing surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for the aneurysm near his heart but did not elaborate

‘We can only hope for the best,’ Esterman told The Times. ‘Our hearts and prayers go out to him and we look forward to telling his jokes.’

Jeremy drove himself to the hospital at 2 a.m. after he had chest pains, Esterman said. Jeremy was scheduled Wednesday to fly to Denver on business.

The longtime porn actor makes frequent public appearances and also frequently appears in mainstream films and on television. He has been a consultant for the David Bertolino play ‘The Deep Throat Sex Scandal,’ and portrayed the role of a judge who sentences the porn star to jail.

Bertolino said that he had seen Jeremy on Tuesday and he seemed in good spirits. He played the harmonica and ate a chocolate-glazed doughnut, he said.
