Crime alerts for Arlington Heights and 5 other L.A. neighborhoods
Crime reports are up significantly for the latest week in six L.A. neighborhoods, according to an analysis of LAPD data by the Los Angeles Times’ Crime L.A. database.
Five neighborhoods reported a significant increase in violent crime. Arlington Heights (A) was the most unusual, recording five reports compared with a weekly average of 2.0 over the last three months.
Harbor City (F) was the lone neighborhood with a property-crime alert. It recorded 15 property crimes compared with its weekly average of 9.3 over the last three months.
Alerts are based on an analysis of crime reports for Jan. 18 to Jan. 24, the most recent seven days for which data are available.
