He had been reported missing by his family on Dec. 21.

The body was ‘zipped up in a sleeping bag and had signs of trauma,’ according to Lt. Glenn Giannantonio with the Sheriff’s Department homicide detail.

Bulaoro, an immigrant from the Philippines, worked as an administrator for the family’s business in Fallbrook caring for the elderly. He joined the reserves in November 2011 and was assigned to the medical corps.

His family spotted his SUV in the parking lot of a grocery store in Fallbrook and notified the Sheriff’s Department.
