Police are looking for a man who grabbed a Glendale High School student’s breast as she walked to campus this week.

The student and her friend were heading to school about 8:15 a.m. Monday in the 1000 block of Elk Avenue when a man walking toward them grabbed the top of her shoulders with both hands, then turned her slightly and grabbed her left breast, according to Glendale police.

Police told the Glendale News-Press the girl ‘looked down because she was shocked and didn’t know what to do.’

The man laughed and walked away, police said.

The student and her friend looked back at the man and continued walking so they wouldn’t be late for their first class, police said. They reported the incident to their Spanish-language teacher.

Their mothers were also notified about the incident, police said.

Glendale Police Sgt. Tom Lorenz advised students to walk in groups and always carry a cellphone in their hands.

The victim described the man as in his mid-30s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and roughly 160 pounds, with black hair, facial hair and dark brown eyes. He was wearing a black T-shirt with a gold design, black sweat pants with yellow vertical stripes along the sides and black tennis shoes.

He may have entered a red four-door sedan or SUV with a white stripe on the driver’s side door and spare tire mounted at the rear.

Anyone with details about the incident was encouraged to call detectives at (818) 548- 3106. To remain anonymous, call Glendale Crime Stoppers at (818) 507-7867.
