A woman was in grave condition and two men were injured in an apartment fire near Chinatown on Wednesday night, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

It took 44 firefighters 13 minutes to knock down the blaze on the second floor of a two-story apartment building on the 700 block of North Cleveland Street, LAFD spokesman Brian Humphrey said.
