Former exec of Dana Point chamber accused of stealing $127,000
A former executive with the Dana Point Chamber of Commerce will be arraigned Friday; she is accused of stealing $129,000 using company credit cards and checks.
Nichole Lashawn Chambers, 39, is charged with three felony counts and faces a maximum of six years in state prison if convicted.
Chambers allegedly used the company credit card and checks for clothes, child care, meals and a trip to Las Vegas between January 2008 and October 2010.
The group's board became suspicious when Chambers failed to provide financial records and the case was reported to the Orange County Sheriff's Department.
