Granada Hills robbery suspects crash getaway car; 1 arrested
A robbery suspect was in custody Monday and another remained at large after they allegedly robbed a Granada Hills hardware store and crashed their getaway car following a pursuit, Los Angeles police said.
LAPD officers were flagged down after a robbery about 7:45 a.m. Monday at the Orchard Supply Hardware store in the shopping center at Chatsworth Street and Zelzah Avenue, police said.
The suspects crashed their vehicle in the area of Hayvenhurst Avenue between Devonshire and Chatsworth streets following a pursuit. One suspect was arrested at the scene, but a second suspect fled into the neighborhood, police said.
Police immediately set up a perimeter limiting access in and out of the area as they searched for him. It was unclear whether anything was taken from the hardware store.
