A 32-year-old San Diego man was arrested Friday night on suspicion of domestic violence and animal abuse after he allegedly slapped his girlfriend several times and threw her 4-month-old puppy against the side of a recreational vehicle.
The puppy died, police said.
Several witnesses saw the Ocean Beach incident and tackled Aubry Glascock until police arrived. Glascock remained in jail Saturday morning.
