Shooting in Lawndale leaves two dead

Two people were killed in a shooting in Lawndale on Monday, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said.

The victims, a man and a woman, were pronounced dead at the scene in the 14600 block of Eastwood Avenue, said Dep. Lillian Peck.

The department is still investigating the case and did not release any additional details.
