Man held in threatening girlfriend with shotgun

March 28, 2012 |  3:04 pm

A Hollywood man accused of sticking a shotgun in his girlfriend's face and fleeing with their three children was arrested Wednesday, Los Angeles police said.

He was arrested near 87th Street and Western Avenue by detectives with the LAPD's Hollywood Division. No other details were immediately available, including the man’s identity.

LAPD officers responded to a domestic call about 12:30 p.m.Tuesday  in the 6100 block of Eleanor Avenue and recovered the shotgun from the apartment.

The woman told officers that her boyfriend had assaulted her and threatened her with the shotgun, Officer Karen Rayner said.

Police at first thought the man was in the apartment but discovered that he had fled. The three children were recovered safely Tuesday afternoon but the man was not found.
