Crime alerts for Shadow Hills and nine other L.A. neighborhoods

Crime reports are up significantly for the latest week in 10 L.A. neighborhoods, according to an analysis of LAPD data by the Los Angeles Times’ Crime L.A. database.

Eight neighborhoods reported a significant increase in violent crime. Shadow Hills (A) was the most unusual, recording three reports compared with a weekly average of 0.2 over the last three months.

Echo Park (I) topped the list of two neighborhoods with property crime alerts. It recorded 21 property crimes compared with its weekly average of 12.5 over the last three months.

Alerts are based on an analysis of crime reports for March 20 to March 26, the most recent seven days for which data are available.
