Crime alerts for Beverly Grove, Hollywood Hills West and seven other L.A. neighborhoods

Crime reports are up significantly for the latest week in nine L.A. neighborhoods, according to an analysis of LAPD data by the Los Angeles Times’ Crime L.A. database.

Six neighborhoods reported a significant increase in violent crime. Beverly Grove (A) was the most unusual, recording seven reports compared with a weekly average of 1.6 over the last three months.

Hollywood Hills West (G) topped the list of three neighborhoods with property crime alerts. It recorded 14 property crimes compared with its weekly average of 8.2 over the last three months.

Alerts are based on an analysis of crime reports for Feb. 6–Feb. 12, the most recent seven days for which data are available.
