First Lady Michelle Obama will touch down in Los Angeles on Tuesday for a two-day visit in which she plans to appear on talk shows and meet with Democratic Party donors.

She is scheduled to sit down Tuesday with Jay Leno on "The Tonight Show" and on Wednesday with Ellen DeGeneres on her daytime talk show (this show will air Thursday).

Obama will be promoting her "Let's Move!" initiative, which encourages parents to make healthier food choices for their children and to provide more healthful options in schools, and tries to get people to become more physically active in order to curb obesity.

The first lady is expected to attend a fund-raising reception in Beverly Hills on Tuesday for the Democratic National Convention.

She will speak Wednesday in Inglewood at the site of a planned market selling fresh fruits and vegetables, which is part of the California FreshWorks Fund, a public-private project designed to bring groceries and healthier food options to underserved areas.

She wil end her trip Wednesday with a fund-raising lunch with Democratic Party donors.
