Crime alerts for Encino, Del Rey and five other L.A. neighborhoods
Crime reports are up significantly for the latest week in seven L.A. neighborhoods, according to an analysis of LAPD data by the Los Angeles Times’ Crime L.A. database.
Two neighborhoods reported a significant increase in violent crime. Encino (A) was the most unusual, recording three reports compared with a weekly average of 1.2 over the last three months.
Del Rey (C) topped the list of five neighborhoods with property crime alerts. It recorded 14 property crimes compared with its weekly average of 7.5 over the last three months.
Alerts are based on an analysis of crime reports for Jan. 11–Jan. 17, the most recent seven days for which data are available.
