Two men assaulted with baseball bats

San Diego police are searching for several assailants who beat two men with baseball bats in the City Heights neighborhood Sunday night.

The assailants, who police said numbered eight to 10, were seen driving away in a sport utility vehicle after the 11 p.m. attack, police said. One of the victims suffered a broken jaw, the second was knocked unconscious.

Police gave no motive for the attack.
