Pasadena shooting

Authorities are investigating the fatal shooting of a man early Tuesday in a residential area of Pasadena.

Police responded to reports of gunshots about 6 a.m. and soon discovered the body on Dearborn Street near North Marengo Avenue, said Lt. Pete Hettema of the Pasadena Police Department.

“We went out and found this deceased male in the street with at least one gunshot wound,” Hettema said.

Los Angeles County coroner’s officials would not comment on their investigation at the request of Pasadena police.

Hettema said no arrests have been made.
