Willie Davis Hines, 23, allegedly beat Tatjana Cruz, 24, after a dispute between the two, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department said.

On his Facebook page, Hines acknowledged that he and Cruz had a dispute that began with his revelation that they were no longer in a "monogamous relationship," according to a report by KTLA-TV Channel 5.

But Hines said his actions were not intentional, according to the report.

"What took place on that day was a disaster it was obscene and hurtful to those who cared and loved Me and Raised me so much different," Hines wrote.

He apologized for Cruz's death and the death of the fetus.

"I know there is no way to believing [sic] anything I have to say but just know I am not armed nor am I dangerous," Hines said. "I fled the scene, because I don't think there is any way to prove that this is not just a act of pure hate."

Cruz, who lived in Adelanto, was hospitalized Wednesday when paramedics found her beaten with injuries to her head and upper body in a home in the 14500 block of Blue Sage Road.

Shortly after she arrived at the hospital, doctors discovered that the unborn child she was carrying was dead, possibly because of the beating, authorities said. Cruz died two days later.
