Two men die days after separate shootings

Credit: Los Angeles TimesSheriff's officials are investigating the shooting deaths of two victims in separate incidents who died of their injuries Wednesday, several days after being shot.

The first victim was shot Oct. 30 at Figueroa Street and Redondo Beach Boulevard in West Compton. He was shot several times in the upper torso and was taken to a hospital, where he died 10 days later, on Wednesday morning.

The second victim, who also died Wednesday morning, was shot Monday in the 2200 block of East 120th Street in Los Angeles.

The names of the victims, both men, have not been released. Sheriff's officials released no further details about the shootings.
