Dodger Stadium
Dodgers fans plan to hold an informal rally Wednesday near Dodger Stadium to celebrate the decision by owner Frank McCourt to sell the storied team.

Roger Arrieta, 39, of West Covina, a graphic designer who runs a fan site, said the rally will be held at 6 p.m. at Sunset Boulevard and Elysian Park Avenue.

Arrieta, who calls himself an “ordinary fan” who grew up going to Dodgers games, said he set up his site in March and used it to spark rallies urging McCourt and his wife to sell the team.

Now that they will be doing that, Arrieta said he figured a different kind of rally was in order.

“I think the fans, we’ve been through a lot just with the whole McCourt ordeal,” Arrieta said. ”Now it seems fitting, this nightmare is finally over. It’s time to celebrate and look forward to next season.”
