Body found on Interstate 5 in East Los Angeles

Sheriff's deputies are investigating the death of a man whose body was found on the side of Interstate 5 early Sunday in East Los Angeles.

The body was discovered on the southbound side of the freeway near Ditman Avenue at about 3:15 a.m., according to a statement from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. The victim's name was not released.

It was not immediately clear how he died. Sheriff's deputies were investigating.
