Pacoima man threatening family members is killed by police
Los Angeles police officers shot and killed a man authorities say was pointing a gun at members of his family Monday afternoon outside a house in Pacoima.
Officers were called to the home in the 10400 block of Ilex Avenue shortly before 5 p.m. in response to a report of domestic violence, said Officer Sara Faden, a Los Angeles Police Department spokeswoman. Outside the house they saw a Latino man pointing the gun at members of his family.
“At that point, an officer-involved shooting occurred,” Faden said.
Neither the deceased man’s name nor the number of officers involved in the shooting were immediately available Monday night, she said.
