Mystery over death of woman found with man who apparently killed himself

July 7, 2011 | 11:33 am

Untitled Authorities are trying to determine what caused the death of a woman who was found Wednesday at her Riverside home along with a man who apparently killed himself.

Both were discovered by relatives shortly after 6 a.m. in the 11700 block of Tilden Place in the bedroom of their residence, said Sgt. Derwin Hudson of the Riverside Police Department. Relatives had entered the property after not hearing from the couple for about a day; family members had been watching the couple’s two small children during that time.

The man appears to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. There were no overt signs of trauma to the body of the woman, Hudson said.

“We’re not sure if this is a homicide,” he added. “We’re still trying to identify what caused the female’s death.”

The county coroner’s office was scheduled to begin an autopsy Thursday morning to help unravel what happened.

Anyone with information should call detectives at (951) 905-2912 or (951) 353-2918.
