Korean culture workshop continues Sheriff Lee Baca's community outreach
The event hosted at the Korean Cultural Center in Los Angeles is aimed at getting cops accustomed to “distinctive Korean cultural values and behaviors,” according to a statement issued by Baca.
His tenure as sheriff has been marked by extensive outreach to minority communities, and his office has formed a wide array of ethnic advisory councils, including a European American one.
“An effective community is driven by the strengths of the partnerships within it,” Baca wrote in the statement.
