Text messages led cops to arrest teacher's aide on suspicion of having sex with 13-year-old boy

June 15, 2011 |  8:01 am

Holly Polson Inappropriate text messages discovered by a 13-year-old boy's parents led detectives to arrest a teacher's aide on suspicion of having sex with the boy in an empty classroom.

In interviews with investigators, the boy said he had sexual intercourse with the teacher's aide during the last two weeks at Shadow Hills Intermediate School, according to Sgt. Brian Hudson of the department's Special Victims Bureau.

Holly Polson, 35, was booked on suspicion of four felony counts of lewd acts with a child and was being held in lieu of $100,000 bail, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said.

Hudson told The Times that Polson had been tutoring the boy before and after school.

Polson's neighbors said she lived with her husband and four children. "My little brother used to play with their boys, so he knew them pretty well," neighbor Daniel Rocha told KABC-TV. "They seemed like such a great family. I'm really surprised. I would have never expected this."

Anyone with information in the ongoing case is asked to call (866) 247-5877.
