Orange County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested a suspect in connection with a deadly stabbing outside a Mexican restaurant in Lake Forest, officials said Wednesday.

Deputies were called to the parking lot of the Albatros Mexican restaurant around 2 a.m Saturday because of a fight involving several patrons and found two men stabbed.

Elvis Kechechian, 26, of Mission Viejo, died at a hospital. The other victim was in critical condition.

Deputies believe the incident began when four men and three women were involved in an argument inside the restaurant that continued outside.

An unidentified man stabbed the two victims and ran away.

Authorities believe they have the suspect, a man in his 20s, in custody, said Jim Amormino, a spokesman for the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

It was unclear if the suspect knew the victims. The suspect’s name will be released after investigators complete photo lineups with witnesses, Amormino said.
