Crime alerts for Arleta, Florence and 12 other L.A. neighborhoods

Crime reports are up significantly for the latest week in 14 L.A. neighborhoods, according to an analysis of LAPD data by the Los Angeles Times’ Crime L.A. database.

Seven neighborhoods reported a significant increase in violent crime. Arleta (A) was the most unusual, recording six reports, compared with a weekly average of 1.8 over the last three months.

Florence (H) topped the list of seven neighborhoods with property crime alerts. It recorded 39 property crimes, compared with its weekly average of 25.2 over the last three months.

Alerts are based on an analysis of crime reports for June 8–June 14, the most recent seven days for which data from the Los Angeles Police Department are available.
