Two arrested in slaying of San Pedro resident; one is victim's ex-wife

Pedro A man and a woman are awaiting charges in the fatal shooting of a San Pedro resident inside his apartment.

Amado Torres Lozano Jr., 28, was found dead Tuesday in his apartment in the 2600 block of South Alma Street.

In the aftermath of the shooting, a Los Angeles Police Department special-weapons team searched a nearby home looking for a suspect.

The LAPD’s Robbery-Homicide Division arrested Crystal Rose Lozano, 30, on Wednesday in connection with the homicide. She was being held in lieu of $1 million bail. The Lozanos had divorced several years ago, according to authorities.

A man also was in custody in connection with the slaying. Police records identify him as Wilson Lopez. He also was being held in lieu of $1 million bail.
