Lindsay Lohan due in court after allegedly failing alcohol test
Actress Lindsay Lohan is scheduled to appear in a Los Angeles courtroom Thursday morning after allegedly failing an alcohol test administered under terms of her probation for a drunk-driving conviction, authorities said.
She allegedly failed the test June 13, and L.A. County Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner will hear arguments from the district attorney's office that she violated probation by drinking.
In a related development, "Today" show host Matt Lauer said on the air Thursday that Lohan had canceled a scheduled interview with him in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
Lohan was convicted of drunk driving in 2007. She was also placed on probation for allegedly stealing a necklace in January from a Venice jewelry store.
If the drinking allegations prove to be true, this would be the third time Lohan has failed a drug or alcohol test.
The alcohol consumption reportedly occurred at a party she had at her home in Venice.
