The Moorpark home where an explosion occurred Thursday morning.

Multiple explosions in the garage of a Moorpark home early Thursday morning left two people injured and led to the discovery of a possible methamphetamine lab, authorities said.

The explosion was reported around 1:23 a.m. in the 4300 block of Cedarpine Lane, according to the Ventura County Fire Department.

Fire personnel and an ambulance were dispatched to the scene, where officials found two injured people, a fire department spokesman said.

The identities of the victims were not immediately released, and the extent of their injuries was unclear.

The spokesman said he was unable to provide further details about the incident, which was being investigated by the Ventura County Sheriff's Department.

Sheriff's Department officials said the investigation was ongoing, that media liaison officials were at the scene, and that they could not comment further at this time.
