Two shot near taco truck site in Wilmington won't cooperate, police say

May 25, 2011 |  8:16 am

Two gang members shot in Wilmington near a taco truck parking area were refusing Wednesday to help police identify their assailants, authorities said.

One man was shot in the back, the other in the leg Tuesday night near the corner of Wilmington Boulevard and L Street, a common landing spot for local taco trucks.

The men were approached by one or more gunmen on foot, police said.

Both men were taken to the hospital but refused to talk to police.

There were also no available witnesses, said LAPD Sgt. Gerry Davila. The shooting, believed to be gang-related, was under investigation.
