A late-spring storm brought light rain to parts of Los Angeles on Sunday morning, with forecasters saying the snow level will drop to 5,000 feet.

The National Weather Service said 1 to 3 inches of snow was predicted in some Southern California mountains, at elevations above 5,000 feet.

Large swaths of the L.A. Basin experienced light showers Sunday morning.

Forecasters say the rain and clouds will give way to sunny skies later Sunday morning and afternoon.
