Motorcyclist killed in crash with vehicle downtown

A motorcyclist was killed following a crash with a vehicle in downtown Los Angeles on Thursday morning, authorities said.

The incident occurred around 4:20 a.m. near the intersection of 6th Street and Hill Street, said Officer Rosario Herrera, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles Police Department.

The victim, described as a white male in his 40s or 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene, Herrera said.

No further details were immediately available about the fate of the driver of the other vehicle or the type of vehicle that individual was driving.

The incident remains under investigation, authorities said.
