Crime reports are up significantly for the latest week in 11 L.A. neighborhoods, according to an analysis of LAPD data by the Los Angeles Times’ Crime L.A. database.

Seven neighborhoods reported a significant increase in violent crime. Harbor Gateway (A) was the most unusual, recording seven reports compared with a weekly average of 3.0 over the last three months.

Vermont Square (H) topped the list of five neighborhoods with property crime alerts. It recorded 32 property crimes compared with its weekly average of 21.3 over the last three months.

One neighborhood triggered alerts for both violent and property crime.

Alerts are based on an analysis of crime reports for April 20–April 26, the most recent seven days for which data are available.
