Three people were injured, including a 4-year-old child, when suspects in a stolen vehicle smashed into two other cars in West Adams on Monday evening while being chased by Los Angeles police officers.
The incident began shortly before 5 p.m. on Crenshaw Boulevard when officers saw the vehicle traveling about 60 mph, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The officers turned on their lights and siren and began pursuing the vehicle as it headed east on Adams Boulevard, the LAPD said.
The vehicle smashed into the other cars at 6th Avenue and Adams.
Officer Karen Rayner said the 4-year-old suffered cuts and was taken with the two other victims to hospitals. Their condition was not immediately known.
Rayner said the vehicle had been reported stolen and that it was unclear whether anyone was apprehended.
