Northbound 5 Freeway shut down in Anaheim [Updated]
Northbound lanes of the 5 Freeway in Anaheim between Lincoln Avenue and Brookhurst Street have been closed as the California Highway Patrol investigates a pedestrian death, authorities said.
[Updated at 10:16 a.m.: Two lanes have reopened and three remained closed until further notice. Investigators were looking at the incident as a possible suicide by a woman, officials said.]
An unidentified person was struck about 6 a.m. while walking on the freeway, the CHP said. The lanes will remain closed until further notice. All southbound lanes remain open.
