Deputies use Taser, pepper spray on man at North Hollywood Red Line station

April 6, 2011 | 10:05 pm

Deputies used pepper spray and fired a Taser at a man as they brawled Wednesday night at the North Hollywood Red Line station, authorities said.

At one point, the man and deputies were "wrestling on the ground" at the busy station, said Lt. Andy Rosso of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

He said the man became aggressive as deputies were checking whether passengers had tickets. The deputies used a Taser without darts, Rosso said.

The incident occurred about 7:30 p.m.

The man was booked on suspicion of resisting and obstructing a peace officer.
