April 13, 2011 | 10:09 am

Police say they have arrested two men who robbed three USC students of their cellphones near campus earlier this week, according to news reports.

The robberies occurred within a few minutes of each other shortly after 9 p.m. Monday, City News Service reported.

Each time, the students were walking alone when they were approached by several young men armed with metal bars and possibly a handgun, according to the report.

Police detained the two suspects on unrelated charges but found they had items related to the robberies, authorities told KTLA Channel 5.
