After several weeks of warm temperatures, another series of rainstorms is expected to hit Southern California beginning late Friday.

The National Weather Service says the storm will result in a wet weekend, with a 70% chance of rain on Saturday and a 50% chance on Sunday.

Rain and showers will continue through Monday night, officials said. Highs will be in the 60s and lows in the 40s.

The snow level is expected to drop to 4,500 feet over the weekend.
