Six people are wounded in a gang-related shooting in South Los Angeles

A woman and five men were shot and wounded while attending a party in South Los Angeles, according to Officer Norma Eisenman of the Los Angeles Police Department

The shooting occurred shortly after 4 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of Central Avenue and 120th Street, Eisenman said. It was unknown if the victims were standing outside when the firing began. One person was struck in the chest by the gunfire, Eisenman said. Most of the other victims suffered gunshot wounds to their arms and legs, she added. All of the victims were taken to local hospitals. She said the victim who was shot in the chest was in serious condition.

Poilce did not have a description of the suspects. The shooting appears to be gang-related, Eisenman said.
