A Los Angeles police helicopter landed safely Monday morning near the edge of the Chatsworth reservoir after an engine warning light switched on in the cockpit, police officials said.
The helicopter’s pilot made a “precautionary” landing around 9:35 a.m. after the alert came on, according to a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman.
The two-person crew was unharmed and mechanics were responding. News of the unexpected set-down was first reported on KNX-AM (1070) radio.
