Crime alerts for Manchester Square, Cheviot Hills and 15 other L.A. neighborhoods

Crime reports are up significantly for the latest week in 17 L.A. neighborhoods, according to an analysis of LAPD data by the Los Angeles Times’ Crime L.A. database.

13 neighborhoods reported a significant increase in violent crime. Manchester Square (A) was the most unusual, recording 10 reports compared with a weekly average of 3.1 over the last three months.

Cheviot Hills (N) topped the list of four neighborhoods with property crime alerts. It recorded eight property crimes compared with its weekly average of 2.9 over the last three months.

Alerts are based on an analysis of crime reports for March 10–March 16, the most recent seven days for which data are available.
