Edward_Valdivia A registered sex offender was scheduled to appear in court Friday for alleged indecent exposure after a female motorist spotted him naked and masturbating on the steps of a South Pasadena apartment complex, police said.

Edward Frank Valdivia, 47, was booked Thursday for indecent exposure and a parole violation after officers went to the apartment in the 700 block of Fremont Avenue. A woman driving by around 1 p.m. spotted a naked man and called police.

She positively identified Valdivia as the man she saw committing the indecent act, police said.

At the time of his arrest, Valdivia was on parole for a drug offense and according to the Megan’s Law website was registered as a sex offender for “assault with intent to commit a specified sex offense.”

Valdivia was being held without bail on a parole hold pending his arraignment in L.A. County Superior Court in Alhambra.
