Elizabeth Taylor to be interred today at Forest Lawn
She will be buried in the expansive cemetery's Great Mausoleum, the same building where her good friend, Michael Jackson is buried, the final resting place for stars from film's golden age, such as Jean Harlow, Carole Lombard and Clark Gable.
Taylor, 79, died Wednesday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center of congestive heart failure.
Glendale police spokesman Tom Lorenz said Forest Lawn would handle security and no additional help would be needed from the police department.
Jewish tradition calls for a burial as soon as possible, preferably within 24 hours, after a person's death. Taylor converted to Judaism in the 1950s.
