Body found at Costa Mesa high school was likely dumped there; drug overdose suspected

February 4, 2011 |  8:14 am

A man found dead in the Estancia High School parking lot probably overdosed on drugs and was left there by acquaintances, police said Thursday.

Police identified the victim as Justin Daniel Wilson, 25. The Orange County sheriff-coroner performed an autopsy Wednesday but will have to wait six to eight weeks for toxicology results before determining a cause of death.

Over the weekend, an anonymous person called police about 3:30 a.m. Saturday from a pay phone off Harbor Boulevard and Adams Avenue and reported an unconscious man in the high school parking lot.

Responding officers found Wilson's body dressed only in underwear, officials said.
